Located in Jacksonport on the “quiet side,” you can enjoy our private white sand beach, while being just minutes from all of the shopping, restaurants, wineries, and breweries that Door County is known for!
The beach is arguably the best in the whole county! Watch the sunrise, gaze at the moon and enjoy walking, swimming, and building sand castles. Because we are located in a bit of a cove the water stays fairly calm and warm. It is also shallow quite a ways out! The beach is just as amazing in the fall and absolutely gorgeous in the winter!
We own and rent 2 hand built cottages within a 5 property lot. While fairly close in proximity, each cottage has a private yard, fire pit and access to as much beach as you could want. Formerly an old fishing community, the original owner built 4 vacation cottages in the 1950’s. We have since immaculately updated these cottages while retaining much of the original charm..
Jacksonport has much to offer within walking distance from the property! Just a short stroll down the beach you will find Lakeside Park. Door County Kayak is just down the road and offers kayak and ebike rentals (we highly recommend this!) For food you will find Island Fever, Mike’s Port Pub (try their burgers), Town Hall Bakery, and Little Bit of Coffee. If you are in the mood to cook or grill, stroll down to Bley’s Market for fresh meat and other essentials.Jacksonport Cottage is also just down the road and offers a great shopping experience.
Going a bit further into Door County you will find wineries (we love Stone’s Throw!), breweries (Door County Brewing Company, Peach Barn and One Barrel are favorites!), tons of restaurants (PC Junction is fun with kids,Chives is great for elevated dining), art galleries, and lots of shopping (if you’ve never been to Sister Golden-go!) We are also located a short drive from Cave Point County Park- a sight to behold, especially in winter, as well as Whitefish Dunes State Park- climb up Mt Baldy, the highest dune in DC. We also recommend Sister Bay Bowl, Hands On Art Studio,Anderson Dock, Husby’s (one of the only late-night bars), Peninsula State Park, and Red Putter. You can keep yourself just as busy (or not) as you want to be while you are here!
Each cottage comes equipped with its own grill (BYO charcoal), firepit (some wood available, more for sale across the street), adirondack chairs, picnic table, and sand toys. You will also find board games, cards, books, Roku TV (feel free to log into your apps) and high speed internet.
Included in each cottage are: brand new, top of the line mattresses, all bed linens, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, kitchen towels, kitchen wash rags, starter toilet paper and paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, hair dryer, basic spices, cooking spray. Kitchen is fully equipped, including coffee maker..
Cameras: Both our cabins have Blink wifi cameras monitoring the outside areas. These are for our guests protection and ensure the property is safe when no one is around.- Cameras are not to be move or disconnected. If a guest messes with any of the cameras a fine of $150 or more may be charged at check out.- The footage recorded by the cameras is deleted within 48 hours of checkout if no issues arise during a guests stay.
