Living Spaces --------------------------------------------------------------
The house itself is a modern, open plan that provides true indoor/outdoor living with continual views of sky, land and sea.
The floor to ceiling windowed walls throughout open completely as the inside and outside spaces blend into one. Cool breezes flow freely offering a truly unique and delightful experience. Whether you are lounging by the pool, under the pergola or on the sofa, the turquoise ocean seems to surround you.
The new, modern kitchen has marble slab countertops and new appliances. It’s a great space to entertain and create gourmet meals, or just kick back with a cerveza and watch the sun set. The house is staffed with a full time housekeeper (who happens to be an excellent cook) and a houseman to help with anything you might need.
Casa Sybil is mostly run off solar energy with connection to the local electric source when backup is needed. We believe in green energy and a sustainable future.
Pool & Outdoor ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Spectacular vistas instantaneously have you in a wonderful mood!
The 50’ long infinity edge pool is perfect for swimming laps or just cooling off. Tropical flowers and plants abound. If you arrive in late spring you may find the cactus in bloom. Or bananas and papayas ready to be picked and eaten. The covered terrace is a wonderful spot to watch the sea while you’re enjoying a meal.

Accommodations ---------------------------------------------------------------
The house has 4 extremely large bedrooms. Three have king beds (one has an extra twin, perfect if traveling with younger children), and a “bunk room” with 2 sets of bunks (twin on top - full on bottom). So you can sleep a total of 11 people. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom with rain shower. Graciously appointed with luxury Italian linens throughout, lofty mattress covers, and fluffy pillows that will ensure a wonderful nights rest.
Each bedroom has a balcony or terrace and each with incredible view of the sea.
Winding Down ---------------------------------------------------------------------
The end of the day at Casa Sybil creates a different tableau each night, ranging from pink to yellow to violet. Take an evening swim and get ready for the fun nightlife and amazing restaurants in Las Terrenas!
The Residence --------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you’ve settled in, take a lovely stroll through the residence.
Residencia Esperanza is an exclusive gated community at eastern most point of Las Terrenas. There are 3 clay tennis courts that are expertly maintained less than 5 minutes walk from the house. The residence has it’s own beach with calm, turquoise waters in a quiet, little bay which is a 10 minute walk, or 2 minute drive from the house. While no beaches in DR are technically private, access is very limited and you’ll usually find yourself alone to enjoy the water and surrounding mangroves.
Las Terrenas --------------------------------------------------------------------
Once a rustic fishing village, over the years Las Terrenas has become home to dozens of French and Italian expats. This provides Las Terrenas with the perfect mix of third world charm and cosmopolitan life.
Restaurants abound and range from multi course French meals worthy of a Michelin star, to traditional Italian restaurants with pasta and thin crust pizza, to typical Dominican home cooking. There are bars and clubs to drink and dance the night away, and during the day there are a plethora of choices.
Visit the exquisite Park Nacional Los Haitises and see the caves with drawing from the once indigenous Taino Indians. Rent quads and travel the coffee route. Take a hike or horseback ride to the Salto de Limon - a 40 meter (130 ft) tall waterfall where you can swim in the mineral rich waters. There are scores of secluded beaches to visit and eat a fish lunch pulled from the ocean that morning.
If you’re feeling active, take a kiteboarding or surfing lesson, and if you come between mid January and mid March, there is incredible whale watching in the bay of Samana as the humpbacks travel there each season to give birth. And then there is always just chilling by the pool with a book and a drink in hand.

Fully air conditioned throughout - each room has its own super quiet AC unit that is remote controlled for individual comfort. Plus ceiling fans that keep the air circulating.
At Casa Sybil we strive to be as green as possible. This is why we’ve installed an extensive solar system. This system runs most of the electrical needs in the house. However, not all AC units can be run off of this system. We therefore will assess an additional charge for electricity at the end of your stay based on your own personal usage.
For your entertainment needs, we provide high speed internet, a large screen TV that runs Netflix, etc., and a Sonos sound system.
Our lovely housekeeper Sonia, will gladly provide laundry service for you as required.
In home massages, which can be enjoyed indoors or out, can easily be arranged and are wonderful way to end your day.
Should you desire to have the house stocked with food prior to your arrival, simply provide a shopping list of your items and our staff will be sure the items are there .
There are 2 wonderful supermarkets that have just about everything you could every want. One is a larger, more basic market (think Shop & Stop or A&P), and the other is a smaller French Market that has a broad selection of meats, cheeses and other specialty items. Should you wish to have the shopping done for you - Alfredo, our house man, would be more than happy to assist together with Sonia as needed.
Should you wish to have meals prepared for you - simply ask Sonia and she will be happy to oblige. She is a wonderful cook and can accommodate any needs from vegetarian to kid friendly meals. And while she cooks Dominican Home Cooking style, it’s always delicious invariably leaving no leftovers to be had!
Private shuttle to and from the airport can be arranged per your needs as well as scooter, quad or car rentals.
